He told Kronen Zeitung he rejected any allegations he was involved in tax evasion or human trafficking. Cynics might suspect another motive: according to local reports the stunt has already generated massive publicity for the brothel. Under Austrian law prostitutes must be self-employed — so they will still be liable for their own taxes. The brothels operate as clubs providing the prostitutes with a safe environment to work, usually in exchange for a fee.
